Ethan’s party

After the storms of last week, we decided to go ahead and have Ethan’s 11th birthday party on Saturday. Cleaned the leaves out of the pool and had a few friends over to hang out. Of course, after everyone left – Ethan wasn’t feeling well and we realized he had a temp of 103+ No fun at all – Ethan’s been home resting ever since.

We did have Grandma and Grandpa Mc and Sarah over Sunday night for dinner and had the “official” birthday yesterday with just us. Nothing too exciting – had Al’s pizza and hung out as a family.

All is well – Ethan should be back in school tomorrow and we can get back to a somewhat normal schedule.

Should be beautiful! I’m actually thinking about bungy jumping, but Ethan doesn’t want me to do it because he “doesn’t want me to die”. I guess that might be good rational for not doing it, but I think I might want to face my fears.

Kids had their first full week of school and I went back to playing tennis and doing all the normal mom things. I’m still a little tired and coughing from my bout with bronchitis, but trying to rest more. We’ve been spending a lot of time getting organizing for the trip to NZ.

Well, we got the tickets We leave on New Year’s day and come back home on May 22. We’ll be renting a house in Queenstown on the South Island. More information to come. j

Full week this last week. Anna got her braces on just in time for school to start. I somehow have gotten sick and have bronchitis – no fun. So – resting on the couch while Sam is running around for me. Kids start school on Thursday for 1/2 days and full days next week. Back to resting…. J
