Yes, it’s about time to drag Ethan back to the barber!

We’re back to school and entering week 3 of the month of house guests. All is well and we’ve enjoyed being social and keeping busy. Had a great week with our friends Kyle, Regan and Breesha. Anna got some well needed time with one of her best buds from Ohio and Sam & I tried to keep up with the youngsters. We’ve realized that we’re not as young as we used to be and yes, we do turn into pumpkins after midnight!

This week my brother John and his family are staying with us – so great family and cousin time, especially for the kids. Hopefully the weather will clear and the rain will blow away. Always good to have guests – been doing alot of cooking! Will try to post again soon. J

Busy with house guests

Hey all – it’s been forever and a day since we’ve posted, but we’ve been busy with the run of spring break house guests. Totally enjoying the different groups of people that have visited.

Last week my brother Steve and his wife Tess along with sons Jordan, Christopher and Adam did the all night drive from chilly Cincinatti, Ohio and arrived on Saturday a.m. We had a great week of beach/pool time and ended on Easter Sunday with a sunrise service at the beach and lunch at Grandma and Grandpas. Nice time had by all.

This week began with our friend Kyle from Ohio along with his girlfriend Breesha and his daughter Regan (buds with Anna) coming down on Monday. They will be with us through Sunday and already we’ve been socializing with them every night and introducing them to our friends down here. A few late nights for us oldsters.

Next week my brother John and his family are coming to visit – we all – especially the kids are looking forward to having them and the cousins visit.

Weather has been beautiful, Sam’s doing a lot of golfing, I’m playing tennis (and cooking) – and Summer has stayed out of the rat poison! Kids started back to school this week, which isn’t the easiest with guests, but they’ve been great about pounding out their homework.

Well, off I go, but thought we’d get something up there. More pictures are up on the Flickr site if you want to follow the link! Thanks. J

Great tennis on a windy day!

Anna – tennis winner

Anna & Ethan both played in a tennis Grand Prix today and they BOTH WON their divisions! It was a crazy windy day, but they both played great against some strong competition. In their first one of these a few months ago, Anna came in 3rd and Ethan in 2nd, so it was great for both of them to win on the same day. We’re really enjoying tennis and taking advantage of the beautiful place that we live. Looking forward to having the beginning of our house guests next Saturday.

14 years!

We had our 14th anniversary yesterday – pretty cool thing to celebrate. Great husband, great kids, great extended families.

We started the day by playing 18 holes of golf. I actually had my best round ever (not great by most standards, but for me – made me happy). Sam was patient as usual and we enjoyed a beautiful day. After that we had lunch outside by the ocean and marveled at the beautiful place we get to call home. Picked up the kids at school, then went and hit tennis balls for a while. Picked up pizza for the family and then settled down for a family viewing of American Idol.

All in all a great day. When we got home from tennis, the kids had made us each a poster to celebrate our anniversary – a very kind gesture from some great kids. We truly have been blessed. J

Just thought I’d post a pic of some different Florida landscape. Today is Sam’s 41st birthday, in case anyone was interested :) The weather is beautiful here – a great time to be outside. Looking forward to having family and friends start to visit in 2 weeks. We’re getting ready to start cooking! Sam broke 80 again in golf – so he’s been doing well on the links. :) Kids are doing well – looking forward to spring break. Thanks for checking in! J
